Horsing Around
So…have you ever wondered, “What does Jonna do in the middle of the night?” Well…tonight, I’m answering that very question! Lucky you!
Since I found myself awake and thinking of all the fun things I’d like to be doing rather than lying in bed NOT sleeping, I decided it was time to just get up. So, I’ve been goofing around and decided to post a little collection of pictures that I took of Elenna after Christmas. I’ve been meaning to post them anyway so…here they are. I’m just having WAY to much fun with my new actions.
By the way-James and I gave her cowboy boots for Christmas (because she wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up…NOT because we’re mean and thought she didn’t need any toys.) I made her cowboy hat as part of her gift too! I LOVE it!!! I also love that she is wearing a dance leotard, boots and the hat. Too cute!

The Future Mrs. Nick Jonas
Finally…here’s some pictures from my shoot with Em. We had so many good ones I just chose a few to put up on here. She was a fabulous model and we had a blast!
Yesterday I took her to wait in line (in the 16 degree wind chill) for Jonas Brothers tickets. Like me you probably have no idea who they are but they’re HUGE with the teen girls. It was absolutely FREEZING but was worth it for her because they actually showed up and surprised the crowd by playing 3 song on the awning of the Nokia Theater building (and…they weren’t too bad!). There was some serious screaming going on in that crowd, let me tell you! AND…Em got 8th row tickets so it was worth it for me just to see her so excited. Oh…and we might be on Ellen on Monday. They were their filming for it so look for us in the crowd. We’re the ones bundled up but still freezing. Oh, wait. That’s not gonna help.

Four years
ago today I surprised the man I was marrying with this song during our wedding. Unfortunately, I can’t sing but fortunately for others I know it. However, I can play a bit of piano…so a friend sang as I played and my love stood watching and shocked nearby. I’ve always hated playing the piano in public but made this exception for him. The song may be a bit sappy but it all came from the heart. Writing was nothing new to me but I had never before put my words to music. I guess I just needed some inspiration. Lucky for me it came in the form of Edward James Nixon IV. So, in case you weren’t there…here’s a bit from our wedding day…

(Unfortunately, I couldn’t find our wedding CD of pictures so this shot will have to do. This is one of those annoying things about living in an apartment…I never fully unpacked so it’s hard to find anything! Oh well…my smile might be a bit goofy but it definitely portrays how insanely happy I was…and thanks to James…still am!)

37 things…but I could go on and on…
So…Sunday was James’ 37th birthday. I had planned on posting this then but I was too busy doing other little things to try and make his day special. So…since he left for Vegas today I now have plenty of time.
In honor of his birthday, I have decided to share 37 of the countless things I love about him. Any single men out there reading this…take note. This is how to make a woman fall in love. Everyday. For the rest of her life. Single women: expect no less.
Okay, here goes (in no particular order):
- the way he loves me
- he loves Jesus
- he puts family first
- he is a caregiver
- he talks in his sleep but REALLY thinks he’s awake

- his love of good food
- he makes me feel safe
- he’s proud that I’m his wife
- his laugh
- he loves kids
- kids love him

- he is spontaneous
- the sweet way he laughs when I’m crying just because it’s what I do
- his heart is also mine
- he indulges my absolute love of surprises
- he thinks I am a fabulous cook (there’s no denying the truth here…)
- his excuse for hogging the bed is “I’m just trying to be close to you”…who can get mad at that?
- he can’t stand it when we’re apart
- he believes in me
- his spirit
- he is protective of me
- the man can grill a mean steak
- he thinks I’m pretty much the coolest chick ever…(again, can’t deny it)
- he likes to nap with me
- he does everything that he can to make me happy
- he insane knowledge of trivia…you don’t want to be opposing this guy in a trivia game…
- he takes care of the finances…I hate that stuff!
- he’s just a big kid at heart
- he is going to be one fabulous dad
- he works hard

- he loves that cat…no matter what else he may say
