with pics from NWA. If you haven’t added the Red House blog to your blogroll you need too! I’ll be doing a good amount of my blogging over there (anything business and photography related). All personal blogs will continue to be posted here. Enjoy the pics. More to come soon!
I had a wonderful shoot today with little Ryder. I’m just convinced he is the cutest and sweetest little boy in the world! And, his hair…it stands up naturally all the time! How completely precious is that? His mama did style a mohawk for me later on in the shoot. I just can’t get enough of this little guy and got more than a reasonable amount of amazing shots. In fact…we captured an absurd amound of cuteness today. Here’s just a little taste of the hundreds of great shots from today.
FYI-my website WILL be up soon…as in a couple of weeks. That’s my goal. I’ll let you know.

Well…I’m still awake but after I post this I’m going to go hop in bed and curl up next to my sleeping hubby. Then I’m going to warm my cold hands and feet on him…he’ll love that, I promise! Actually though, considering he woke me today by putting HIS FREEZING cold hands on me (which of course he thought was HILARIOUS), I think it’s payback time!
Anyway, here is precious, precious Leah. I can’t wait to see how she’s grown next trip…though it will inevitably make me a little sad! My mom said she has really changed since Christmas is just has more personality than ever. Love her!!!

So…have you ever wondered, “What does Jonna do in the middle of the night?” Well…tonight, I’m answering that very question! Lucky you!
Since I found myself awake and thinking of all the fun things I’d like to be doing rather than lying in bed NOT sleeping, I decided it was time to just get up. So, I’ve been goofing around and decided to post a little collection of pictures that I took of Elenna after Christmas. I’ve been meaning to post them anyway so…here they are. I’m just having WAY to much fun with my new actions.
By the way-James and I gave her cowboy boots for Christmas (because she wants to be a cowgirl when she grows up…NOT because we’re mean and thought she didn’t need any toys.) I made her cowboy hat as part of her gift too! I LOVE it!!! I also love that she is wearing a dance leotard, boots and the hat. Too cute!
Pictures of Leah coming soon!

I got new actions! Yeah! I’ve had my eye on itty bitty actions (52 pack) for a while and finally got them. A lot of my favorite photographers also use these photoshop actions. I just did some quick changes using them tonight but the possibilities are endless! The left is the original (after my own post processing) and on the right is the result of using one of the actions. Note: Of course I can turn any image into black and white but the actions really make the tones pop. I love them!

2. Old school color

4. Black/white moody blues

Finally…here’s some pictures from my shoot with Em. We had so many good ones I just chose a few to put up on here. She was a fabulous model and we had a blast!
Yesterday I took her to wait in line (in the 16 degree wind chill) for Jonas Brothers tickets. Like me you probably have no idea who they are but they’re HUGE with the teen girls. It was absolutely FREEZING but was worth it for her because they actually showed up and surprised the crowd by playing 3 song on the awning of the Nokia Theater building (and…they weren’t too bad!). There was some serious screaming going on in that crowd, let me tell you! AND…Em got 8th row tickets so it was worth it for me just to see her so excited. Oh…and we might be on Ellen on Monday. They were their filming for it so look for us in the crowd. We’re the ones bundled up but still freezing. Oh, wait. That’s not gonna help.

I read this book today after hearing rave reviews by friends who had recently read it. It is a shocking and inspiring work. I wholeheartedly recommend you go and purchase this book today. Be forewarned though…you may need to stock up on tissues while you’re out.
I plan on buying several copies of this book to give to others.
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
